Team Rescue Iloilo

Team Rescue Iloilo also known as tri was Founded on June 21, 2020 at Iloilo City, Philippines with the tagline of “We are advocates of Animal Welfare, focusing on stray pets. We generally oppose to Pet Euthanasia, irresponsible pet ownership, and Cruelty to animals .”
Before Team Rescue Iloilo was founded, their founder, Ms. Marivic Lai was already a solo rescuer. She feeds and help strays on her own but later founded an organization where her advocacy towards strays will be passed down to the next generation. She also wants to teach the people about the life importance of the voiceless animals.
It was first two moderators, the husband and wife Pagunaling who joined and supported Ms. Lai in her advocacy. Some other time, they recruited members who they’ve seen the hearts for the voiceless. Team Rescue Iloilo was admittedly a new Organization for stray animals in Iloilo City, yet they’ve touched the hearts of the many. They are very transparent to the donations given to them and always updating their social media accounts on Facebook , Instagram , and Twitter regarding the strays they rescued and the breakdown of finances donated to them and how much they’ve used. There are also surrendered pets sent to them because of some matters that the owners have and there were some that are forced to surrender their pets because of abuse and cruelty. This organization fights back and is going under correct process of law for the abused and willing to go deeper than that just to have justice at hand.
They feed stray animals EVERYDAY. They also conduct Stray-feeding around City area and calls out volunteers to join them to see what actual feeding feels like. Many donors and also Dog Food company sponsors their feeding program for strays and known restaurants in Iloilo City gives their leftovers to the team in support of the program. They also give and donate their extra dog food, vitamins, medicines (if they have some left that won’t be used for their rescues) to those who asks and in dire need.
A couple of times they were posted on media , interviewed, and mentioned on pages on Facebook that their group was recognized. Different schools collaborated with them as they were chosen to be their example of modern heroes rescuing strays. They are still growing and are hoping that they can inspire more people in Iloilo to join them in their advocacy and will be aware that these living creatures have the right to live, be happy, and be loved too.
