Tayib Rauf

Tayib Rauf (born April 26, 1984) was a mistaken suspect arrested in the UK in connection to the 2006 transatlantic aircraft terrorist plot in the United Kingdom, and one of the nineteen whose accounts were frozen by the Bank of England.
Background
Tayib Rauf was born in England. He is one of five children born to parents Abdul and Saima. His father immigrated to Britain in 1960s from his native village of Haveli Beghal in the Mirpur District of Pakistan.
Tayib has three brothers and one sister. Due to a childhood illness, Tayib is partially deaf.
Mohammed Nazam, a family-friend and owner of a grocery shop where Tayib Rauf had been video taped prior to being arrested described Tayib as an ordinary youth who delivered buns and cakes from his father's confectionary shop.. Nazam said the family hails from a long line of respected religious judges in Kashmir's Mirpur region. "They are a religious family back home, known as qazi" or religious judges and leaders. "The kids are religious."
Suspected terrorist involvement
According to various sources one of his brothers is Rashid Rauf, who was arrested in Pakistan near the border with Afghanistan in connection with the 2006 transatlantic aircraft terrorist plot. Authorities believe that Rashid has links to al-Qaeda and was a leader in the plot to blow up jetliners with liquid explosives.
An official with Britain's anti-terrorist unit stated on 23 August that Tayib Rauf was released along with another person. A friend of the Rauf family, also confirmed that Tayib had been released .
