Tau Malachi

Malachi Eben Ha-Elijah, or Tau Malachi, is a modern mystic and spiritual teacher, and over the years he has taught spiritual wisdom from many traditions, along with teachings of the Christian Kabbalah in the Sophian Gnostic Tradition; he is a well known author and among the leading exponents of Christian Kabbalah and Christian Gnosticism in the world today.
Biography
At the age of eight he met his Teachers, Tau Elijah and Mother Sarah, who taught and initiated him into the Sophian Tradition of Gnostic Christianity, and who exposed him to diverse lineages of both the Western Mystery Tradition and Eastern traditions. He became the protégé of Tau Elijah. Before his death, in 1978, Tau Elijah imparted to Malachi the traditional blessing as his successor in the Sophian lineage, and Malachi received the mantle of the lineage-holder at the age of sixteen. In January, 1983, Malachi took up the mantle of the lineage-holder and founded Sophia Fellowship as an expression of the Sophian Gnostic tradition, and he has actively served as a teacher and guide to others in the Gnostic Path since that time, holding the recognition of an Elder and Tau in the Sophian Tradition.
In recent years he has also founded an international Christian Gnostic Church, Ecclesia Pistis Sophia, which has circles around the world, and he serves among the presiding Gnostic Bishops of the Church.
Along with his work in the Sophian lineage, Tau Malachi is also a Chevalier in the International Order of Chivalric Companions, a Martinist, and has received ordination and consecration as an Independent Apostolic Bishop.
Tau Malachi has served as a Hospice care volunteer and, for a period of time, as a hospice chaplain. A great deal of his work focused on those suffering with HIV and AIDS.
Today, Malachi lives in Grass Valley, California, and labors to record as much of the oral tradition of Sophian Gnosticism in writing as possible, along with tending to his other responsibilities.
