Tarvuism is a parody religion characterized by its apparent similarity to both fundamentalist style Christianity and Scientology. Its creation myth and its dual Universes theology are recognizable patterned after the collection of unfalsifiable beliefs of both of the aformentioned religions. Despite Tarvu's claims of being an ancient established religion with 1 billion members, it was described in online forums from March of 2007 as "It's the new show based on a fake religion, from Robert Popper and Peter Serafinowicz of Look Around You. Having 1 billion members would made Tarvu the third largest religion in the world. Beliefs of the "Tarvu religion": * Tarvu is our Lord God * There are two universes * The Tarvunty is the Holy Book * We should all "be nice to each other" * Men and women are equal * Tarvu's Prayer should be said every day * Octopuses are holy creatures * Everyone has an invisible guardian from Universe A.
