Tarlton Knight

Tarlton "Tarl" Arthur Knight (; born September 22, 1995) is an American businessman, performer, songwriter and activist from Green Bay, Wisconsin. He is known as the youngest political candidate in Green Bay history and co-founder of The Tarlton Theatre (originally the West Theater).
About
At age 13, Knight began writing original songs on guitar and piano and performing them at festivals such as the Mile of Music in Appleton, Wisconsin and Steel Bridge Songfest in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, founded by songwriter Pat MacDonald.
Inspired by those festivals, Knight founded and organized Artour, an annual all-original art and music festival in Green Bay, Wisconsin which included performances by 50 bands in the city's downtown area.
In 2018, he continued the festival while overseeing the renovation of Green Bay's historic West Theater after sitting vacant for years. At age 23, after completing its restoration, he reopened The Tarlton Theatre in December 2018 as a performing arts venue with a restaurant and bars.
Political career
Knight announced in December 2019 that he would run for a seat on Green Bay's city council in the city's 2020 elections. He was subsequently unsuccessful in unseating the incumbent, losing by 250 votes.
