Targetpoint is an Israeli company that provides targeted advertisements on webpages, allowing webmasters (especially of BitTorrent websites) to make money based on which/how many ads are clicked on, known as the pay-per-click model. In April and July 2006, TorrentFreak reported that the company was the executive owner (servers and domain) of the adult-themed BitTorrent trackers Empornium and PureTNA, and that its web servers are located in the Netherlands. Further Targetpoint redesigned Empornium, charging fees and angering many users, some of whom went on to form the breakoff community Cheggit. Slyck.com reported in July 2006 that the company denied owning any of the above mentioned websites, and that a former associate of Targetpoint brokered the sale of Empornium to new owners who want to remain anonymous.
