Tara Correa-McMullen

Tara Correa-McMullen (May 24, 1989 - October 21, 2005), born Shalvah McMullen, was an American actress who was most well-known for a recurring role playing a gang member, Graciela Reyes, on the CBS television series Judging Amy. In 2005, she co-starred with Martin Lawrence in the movie, Rebound, which was her only film role.
Life
Correa-McMullen was born in Westminster, Vermont to Devra Correa and Thomas McMullen. She moved to Los Angeles, California and sang in the Venice High School choir.
Death
On October 21, 2005, 16-year old Correa-McMullen was shot to death outside an apartment complex in Inglewood, California. Suspected gang member Damien Watts, 20, was charged with her murder on March 1, 2006, and convicted on January 23, 2009. Watts was sentenced on February 27, 2009 to life imprisonment, with no chance of parole.
Sgt. Steve Overly stated that "she may have just been at the wrong place at the wrong time". Cindy Osbrink, of the agency that had sometimes represented Correa-McMullen, stated that their client had become "unreliable"; and friends stated that recently she had been with a "bad crowd."<ref name="latimes" />
