TAPE system

TAPE System is a teaching methodology developed by ClarkMorgan trademarked under Chinese Trademark Law #4402160 and published in Network HR Magazine.
TAPE stands for 'theory', 'application', 'practice' and 'evaluation' and closely matches the published in The Manual of Learning Styles .
System
Theory
The 'theory' section provides the trainees an overview of the materials to examine more thoroughly in the training. The brief overview should highlight the importance of the material since it is the first part of "TAPE". The Theory section encourages the participants to think differently about business problems with which they are presents. The "T" has a two-fold purpose to both win-over the trainees and appeal to those who prefer a theoretical definition.
Application
Once a general understanding of the materials is established, the trainer will explain what application the training has for the everyday life of the trainees. The primary focus of the application section should be to answer the question, "How will this training improve my life?" In order to maintain a high level of engagement with the trainees, the trainer must bring into focus the benefits for their efforts in the training.
Practice
"P" is intended to be reinforcement of the skills outlined in the Theory and Application sections. Emphasis is placed on the maintaining a "real-life" atmosphere in the room. Having the trainees read off of a script is not as engaging as having them talk about themselves in a context that is suitable for the training.
Evaluation
After running through the first three steps the trainer measures the progress of the training staff. The evaluation section is in itself a form of reinforcement since the trainees are looking at the same materials, albeit in a different light. Once an evaluation is complete the trainer takes the opportunity to offer feedback to the trainees and offers them recommendations for improvements. The Evaluation is also of the trainer so they can also improve their training ability.
