Tania Doko is a singer from Melbourne, Australia, best known for being one half of the band Bachelor Girl. With her Bachelor of Arts degree, Doko also uses her musical credentials to help disadvantaged young people in the juvenile justice system. Doko , holds workshops at Parkville Detention Centre and has created an annual free concert at Melbourne's Luna Park - Joy in the Park. Bachelor Girl Record producer James Roche met Doko as she was performing in a Melbourne pub in 1992. Roche was immediately impressed with the 18 year old's voice, and he invited her to provide the vocals for a demo track he was recording for Australian girl group, Girlfriend. The pair soon found they shared some song-writing chemistry, and Bachelor Girl was formed. Solo artist After a string of live appearances post-Bachelor Girl, Doko released her first solo EP in 2008. All the tracks are original acoustic performances. In 2009, Doko collaborated with DJ Darren Glen on a track titled Curious. Recently released digitally, Doko is taking the track throughout Europe in September '09. Doko perfomed with The Veronicas on the single "Don’t Say Goodbye" (Featuring Tania Doko). She Said Yes With Doko on vocals, former Savage Garden drummer Karl Lewis are joined by special guests Rexx Fernandex or Shannon Trottman on their "exploding vanity project", consisting of electro-pop sounds. In 2007, the band toured with Darren Hayes on The Time Machine Tour, which was soon followed by an appearance on Channel Seven's breakfast show Sunrise. An EP was also released, with tracks including: All My Fault, Plastic, Disappointed, Popkillah, Potential, and the "Mr Lewis Remix" of All My Fault. Also in 2007, Doko performed in ‘SERIOUSLY, the Pet Shop Boys Reinterpreted’, a production that was at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.<ref name="themusic" /> The band performed their last show in 2009 at Priscilla's 153 in Prahran, Melbourne.
