History
Taigum Square was first opened to the public in 1982 as the "Taigum Central Shopping Centre". In 2001, Centro Properties Group undertook a major redevelopment of the centre, spending $70 million to incorporate the Big W and Best & Less stores, as well as increasing the number of specialty stores on the site. The new centre was opened to the public on 29 October 2001. In 2013 Centro Taigum was rebranded as Taigum Square as part of Centro's branding to Federation Limited.
After being the runner-up for the sub-regional category in the 2003 Queensland Shopping Centre Awards, Taigum Square went on to win the category in 2004.
