Super Contra 7

Super Contra 7 is a pirate original based off the Contra series, made by E.S.C. Co (AKA Waixing) in 1996.
Overview
The gameplay is very similar to the NES Contra games, albeit with numerous differences. Firstly, the levels are completely different, and seemingly less complex in design. Some of the graphics are original, although it contains graphics ripped from other games, such as Mighty Final Fight as well as the original Contras. The first level is a straightforward city level where the player simply has to move to the right while jumping on/over barrels. The boss of this level is arguably the hardest in the game, a large, inanimate spaceship which has seemingly many hit points and periodically shoots large fireballs which sometimes glitch, making them hard to avoid. There are also soldiers who appear from both sides of the screen during this fight. The second level takes place in a cave/dungeon with many small platforms and the whole level containing a bottomless pit. The boss is an inanimate demon which fires many projectiles above the player, which are reasonably easy to dodge. The third level takes place in the open where the player simply moves to the right, avoiding pitfalls. The boss is another spaceship different from the first, and it fires different projectiles. The fourth level is similar to Area 4 from Super C, although this level adds an extra sidescrolling portion after the upward climb. There are numerous snipers and electricity spots to avoid in this level. The boss is another alien/ship which fires indestructible alien slimes. The fifth level takes place in an alien lair with numerous pitfalls and alien enemies, many of which are difficult to avoid. The last boss is a rip-off of the third boss from Contra, although this one fires alien slimes and fireballs at the player neither of which can be destroyed. The credits are shown afterwards, before throwing the player back to the first level.
Hacks
This game was later released under the name Super Contra 8, the only difference is the title screen having the title in English and the copyright date being 1999 as opposed to 1996. There was also another hack named Super Fight 1 made by an unknown company (likely Trump Grand, who made many games and hacks for Famiclones) which removes the bosses, everything from the third level onwards and the credits, as well as modifying a few graphics. It is unknown whether this hack was released stand-alone or not.

Trivia
*In any vertically scrolling section (in the second, fourth and fifth levels) it's possible to glitch the game while dying.
*The background graphics for the first level were ripped from Mighty Final Fight, and due to incorrect tiling "Otototel" appears on numerous signs where it's meant to say "Hotel" and in the second level, there is brick graphics ripped from "Ooze" on "Action 52".
*The credits, which provide as the ending for the game, are also shown at the end of the demo loop, as well as being accessible by cheating.
*The player can start with 50 lives by holding A or B on the title screen and pressing start.
*The score often glitches out for unknown reasons.
*Waixing's ESC logo is hidden within the ROM.
