Sun Ming Sheu

Sun Ming Sheu or Sunny Sheu was an activist fighting corruption in New York City who died under mysterious circumstances on June 26, 2010. Sheu's story became the subject of considerable attention when it was publicized by the blogs Naked Capitalism and Foreclosure Fraud.
Victim of foreclosure fraud
Shue's struggle against corruption was documented in the Black Star News, which documented his fight with the courts to keep his home after it had been fraudulently sold by a third party. Sheu was embraced by the critics of the judicial foreclosure process who had emerged in the wake of the 2010 foreclosure fraud scandal.
Death
Prior to his death, Sheu reported being kidnapped and given numerous death threats for a corruption investigation he was conducting of a judge in the New York State Unified Court System. Out of concern for his life he had prepared a video for YouTube describing the threats he was receiving and the evidence he had obtained against a New York Judge.
On June 26, 2010, Shue was found on the streets of Queens in a coma. He was taken to the New York Hospital Queens, but subsequently died. After conducting an autopsy, the medical examiner said the cause of death was a "blunt force trauma to the head with skull fractures and brain injuries". Shue's body was cremated shortly thereafter.
Allegations of murder, cover-up
No investigation into the death of Sheu was conducted by NYPD.
Sheu's friends and associates remain convinced that Sheu was murdered in connection with his investigation.<ref name =NakedCapitalism/> According to Sheu's supporters, there has been an attempt to cover-up the circumstances of Sheu's death by the NYPD.
