Summiyah Malik (born 24th November) is a Pakistani TV presenter, and an expert on makeup and cosmetic products.
Background
Malik was born in Karachi. Her father is a senior official in CAA Pakistan, and mother is a housewife. She has three brothers and no sister. Non of the siblings are married. She graduated in 2006 with a BA degree in psychology and English Literature from DA Degree College for women phase 8. In 2007, she enrolled herself in the Masters program in Mass communication from University of Karachi, but quit in the beginning of the first semester.
Career
In April 2007, she went for a VJ audition at Hum TV, and ended up working as an intern with the networks fashion channel Style 360. After three months of internship, she shifted within the network's youth channel Oye TV. There she interned for 2 months. During her internship, she learnt production work, and script writing.
In mid 2008, she received an unexpected offer to work as a TV presenter for ARY News. The show was called Taamirati Virsa, which was based on historical buildings of Pakistan with architectural splendor. She quit the show after completing the first season.
In March 2009, she was offered a contract by ARY Zauq, which is a popular food channel of the ARY network, to host their food and travel show Iss Des kay Desi Khanay. The show is still running successfully to date.
