Storming of the prisons in Donetsk

Operation on storming of the prisons in Donetsk is a thwarted special operation planned for 2 years by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine to release Ukrainian servicemen detained on the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. The planning of the operation began in December 2018. Lieutenant Colonel of the Supreme Court of Ukraine Mykhailo Nikolov spoke that the failure of the operation is similar with the Wagnergate failure. The long-planned operation involved intensive training, construction of assault schemes, testing of assault tactics in real conditions at similar places of imprisonment in Ukraine. The purpose of the operation was to remove the hostages, who were used as levers of influence in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and in Russia. The operation was planned with careful selection of motivated participants. Subsequently, the battle group and spies were exposed by the Ukrainian side, and the participants in the planned operation were persecuted by the SBU. See Also
