Stony Brook Campus Community Emergency Response Team

Stony Brook Campus Community Emergency Response Team is the collegiate CERT organization at Stony Brook University. Stony Brook C-CERT response to emergency calls for assistance on the Stony Brook University campus, in addition to the surrounding community. Stony Brook C-CERT is also an official Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and State Emergency Management Office (SEMO) registered CERT program. Membership Stony Brook C-CERT is a dedicated group of students, faculty and staff trained in emergency response and management, many of which are EMTs, paramedics, law enforcement officers and firefighters. Every semester, approximately 20 applicants are admitted via a competitive process into the intensive probationary class. Upon graduation, these individuals take their place as C-CERT members.
