Stonefield Query is a query builder and report writer tool from Stonefield Software Inc.. Stonefield Systems Group Inc. was incorporated in 1991. The company co-founders are Mickey Kupchyk CMA and Doug Hennig B.Sc. The founders had a vision: rather than build another database reporting tool geared towards IT professionals they would design a user-friendly package targeted at the 99% of the population who weren’t technically inclined. They would take care of all the hard programming so that the end user could simply pick the information they wanted and it would automatically format the output. The reporting software had to work across multiple database applications. In 1996 the first version of Stonefield Query was released. There are custom versions of Stonefield Query available for GoldMine, , HEAT, SalesLogix, Account Mate, Alere, Sage Timberline Office, Sage Accpac ERP, Sage Pro ERP, Sage BusinessVision, Sage MAS 90/200, and SageCRM. The Stonefield Query SDK allows the user to create a version of Stonefield Query for any database. The SDK is used to create the data dictionary, configuration, and script files for a database, whether it's native Visual FoxPro tables (free or in a database container), SQL Server, Oracle, Access, DB2, MySQL, dBase, or any other ODBC-compliant database. It also works with any OLE DB provider, SQLXML , Web Services, and anything with an API you can code against. It can even query against Microsoft Excel and text files. Version 4.0 was released on July 13, 2010. This version has added new features, including output to Microsoft Excel Pivot Tables and support for "application views". At the 2008 Account Mate Synergy conference, Stonefield Query won the Vertical Solution Partner Award for Innovative Integration.
