Steven Van Belleghem is an entrepreneur, academic, and author who has given keynote presentations on subjects such as the future of marketing and the transformation of customer relationships in more than 40 countries around the world. Many academics consider him to be an expert in these fields, although he is perhaps best known for his four best-selling books. These include The Conversation Manager, which received an award for the most innovative marketing book in 2010, and When Digital Becomes Human, which won the Best Marketing Book of 2015 award. Career After studying Applied Economics at Ghent University and spending summers specialising in marketing at the University of California, Berkeley, Van Belleghem started his professional career as a researcher at the Vlerick Business School in Belgium, where he is still a visiting professor. He then joined InSites Consulting, a research agency, where he spent almost 12 years working as a consultant, then a managing partner. During this time, he led the Customer Happiness Team and helped to grow the company from 8 to 130 members of staff with offices in 5 countries . and Interacto. They are all available in 7 languages, and Van Belleghem has sold more than 120,000 in total.
