Steve Cosgrove is an American business owner in Southalke, Texas. Steve is the former State Chairman of the Texas Young Republicans. He has the longest serving term (4 years) as State Chairman for Texas. He currently hosts a weekly travel show on the radio based in the DFW metroplex but heard throughout Texas and Oklahoma. Salem Communications is said to be preparing to syndicate the show on a nationwide basis.
Steve owns Dynamic Travel & Cruises, http://www.dynamictravel.com, a large leisure agencies in the DFW metroplex. He also owns InterlineTravel.com, http://www.interlinetravel.com, a website for airline employees and their families. He has owned the agency for over 25 years.
Biography
Cosgrove grew up in Ft. Worth, Texas and Overland Park, Kansas a suburb of Kansas City, where he graduated from Bishop Miege High School. Steve then attended TCU from 1972 to 1978 in Ft. Worth, Texas.
While in college he started to work for Frontier Airlines in 1976 working in Denver, DFW and Kansas City and left them in 1980. He worked as a flight attendant, in crew scheduling and the promotions departments.
In 1982 Cosgrove started Dynamic Travel & Cruises with 2 partners. The partners were bought out in 1985. He had done a travel show on various radio stations in the DFW Area from 2002 to 2007 including KSKY which is owned by Salem Communications. He also hosts a large consumer travel show in North Texas called VacationFest at the Gaylord Texan Resort on Lake Grapevine every winter.
He has spoken at numerous travel conferences including National Tour Association, Cruise-A-Thon and others. In addition he has appeared on the local NBC, CBS and ABC television stations and in several local and national newspapers including the Dallas Morning News, Ft. Worth Star Telegram, USA Today and Wall Street Journal. Personality
Interests
Steve has been active in Republican politics serving for 4 years as State Chairman of the Texas Young Republicans from 1980 to 1984, the only person to serve that long in that position. He was active in both of Ronald Regan's presidential campaigns. He also worked in Kay Baily Hutchison's Senate Campaigns. His other passion is obviously travel.
He has also served in 2006 and 2007 on the Armed Forces Bowl Committee.
