Stephen Maitland-Lewis

Stephen Maitland-Lewis is British-American writer. Maintland-Lewis was born in England and is a dual citizen of the United Kingdom and the United States. Maitland-Lewis resides in Beverly Hills.
Personal
Maitland-Lewis is a trustee of the Louis Armstrong House Museum, which is affiliated with Queens College, New York. He is on the advisory board and a former director of the California Jazz Foundation, and also on the Executive Committee of the International Mystery Writers Festival. He and his wife have a home in the New Orleans French Quarter, and have been regular sponsors of the annual Satchmo SummerFest in New Orleans.In November of 2014, the Louis Armstrong House Museum honored Maitland-Lewis with the Louie Award. The museum's annual award is presented each year in honor of dedicated work to preserve and promote the cultural legacy of Louis Armstrong.
He has written for the Cobblestone Press as well as for innumerable United States and English publications. He has also made frequent appearances on American radio and television.
