Stella East

Stella Dorothy Loring East (born October 25, 1955) is a Canadian-Norwegian artist and illustrator from the province of Ontario in Canada.
Background and work
She has her education from Canada, United States, England and the West Norway Academy of Fine Arts in Bergen.
Since the mid-1980s, she has illustrated a number of books, including The Christmas Mystery by Jostein Gaarder and a book about the past life written by Tor Age Bringsværd. The latest is also published in German. Also, she made her debut as a writer with "Wolf Cub Sim: Stories about the World Outside". Wolf Cub Sim is published in Norway, Denmark, and Germany. The "Wolf cub Sim: Stories about the outside world" she has illustrated and written herself in 2006. This book was purchased by the purchasing scheme, was awarded a diploma in the Most Beautiful Books of the Year (2007), and published in Germany and Denmark. Stella East also works with public decorating assignments, has had several exhibitions and has received several awards and scholarships. Stella is currently illustrating and writing her 11th picture book, "Earth, Water and Sunshine.
Stella East lives and works in Oslo.
