State v. TAPP

State V. Tapp (La 1977)
Police officers went to execute a search warrant at a narcotics house. When the police officers entered the home, the suspect (Tapp) placed a small cellophane wrapped packet into his mouth. Three officer attempted to force the packet out the his mouth. One officer placed his hands on the suspects mouth to prevent the suspect from swallowing the package, "Spit it out!". Two more officers joined in to help get the suspect from swallowing package. After 15 to 20 minutes, the suspect spit the object out. The officers violated Tapp's constitutional rights (his 4th, 5th, also 14th amendment rights). Revered and Remanded.
