Stack the States

Stack the States is a game published in 2010 by Freecloud Design, Inc. and is one of the most popular educational games in the United States. It is the first game of Freecloud Design, Inc. and is on the Top Charts of educational games.
Gameplay
In Stack the States, you must find the correct answer to get a state of the United States. The game will ask you questions about what states the state borders, which states border Canada or Mexico, the capitals of each state, major cities, and even nicknames. The game is a bit luck, however, as it depends on what state you get (unless if you drop it on purpose or get it wrong on purpose), for example, if you get the state of Alaska, it would be too much weight for the other states. It can cause them to fall off the cliff.
The main purpose of the game is to stack states up to the finish line, and make sure they don't fall. As you progress through the game, the finish line gets higher, causing the game to get harder.
Every time you win a game (If you get 50% of the answers right, by the minimum) you will earn a state. To finish the game, you must win all 50 states.
;Bonus games
The bonus games are the extra games included in the game which are "Map It!", "Pile up!", "Puzzler", and "Capital Drop". You earn these mini games by earning a certain amount of states. Map It! is the first game to earn, and Capital Drop is the last and requires the most states to play.
Map It!
In Map It!, you are given a blank map of the United States, counting Alaska and Hawaii. Once the game starts, it will give you a random state. You must locate that state by tapping where you think it is. If you miss three locations, game over. The highest score you can get on Map It is 60.
;Pile Up
In Pile Up, the game looks like the classic Stack the States game platform, except is has circular walls to keep the states on the platform. It's kind of the opposite of the classic game, as you have to make sure it does NOT reach the finish line. In the game, you granted either Easy, Medium or Hard modes. When you play the game, the game gives you a random state name. Then, you have to locate that state. You must do this as fast as possible to get a new high score.
;Puzzler
In Puzzler you can choose, easy, medium and hard modes. In the game, it will give you a random region of the country, and you must put the states together like a puzzle. If you choose easy mode, the game will give you a small amount of states for you to put together. Hard mode, as you may know, gives you the biggest amount of states for you to put together. The game has a stopwatch, to tell you how long it took you to put them together. The smaller the number, the better.
;Capital Drop
In Capital Drop you have a choice of easy, medium, or hard modes just like the Pile Up! mini-game. In the game, there is a conveyor belt, and states fall on to it, and the belt is carrying them toward the cliff. With the states, there are capital names. To save the states, you must tap the capital and its state and they will be rescued. The game never ends until a state falls of the cliff.
Stats
When you are not playing any bonus games or the main game itself, you have your hands of the map of the United States, except with happy faces. When you finish a game, you earn a state, and it will add on to your map.
Learn Section
The learn section is the United States map with all the states in it automatically, so you can study them for the next game. You are also granted flash cards about the states, and they give your every piece of information about them to play the game.
Development
Dan Russell-Pinson is the game developer of Stack the States, his first game. Russel-Pinson was very interested in computer art and coding and he learned the ability to develop Stack the States.
When it was first developed, things looked different then it is today. There was no "Learn" page and less questions and the present-day "My States" button said, "Visit my States." You also could not tap the states on the map to learn more about them.
Stack the States 2 the Official Sequal
Stack the States 2, the sequal has been confirmed on February 16th, 2016. The game has higher quality and is 3D. The game will allow you to speak to the game (a microphone to say the answers in). The main game is relatively similar to the first game, except the animation is a little bit better, and they seem to have more emotions than the one in the first game.
He also added the ability to check out the states' physical features. There will also be new mini-games, such as Connect 2, Capital Tap, and the classic Map It!. The background images are also animated in 3D as well. The colors of the 50 states have also been changed. The release date is not confirmed.
Connect 2
Connect 2 is a mini-game in the upcoming sequel, Stack the States 2. In this mini-game, you must figure out how they border. If you get it right, the states will have very happy expressions.
Capital Tap
In Capital Tap, the game will give you questions such as, for example "What is the capital of Michigan?" You then choose Lansing (which is the right answer). After you get the question right, you will have to tap the location of Lansing in Michigan.
