St. Buryan Gala Week

St. Buryan Gala Week is a week of activities held in St. Buryan, Cornwall, on the playing field and The Community House. The activities are aimed at the local children and adults and a group of diabled children who come down from London yearly called the FAB group(for any-body) formaly PHAB (phsicaly handicapped and abled bodied). The Gala week is allway began on the first Monday in August.
The 2011 week will comence on Monday 1st August, and the finale will be on Sauurday 6th August. Here is the current line up for the 2011 week. (Some of which is weather dependant, if the weather is foul, then other arangements will be made on the day.)
Monday 1st Aug - Yet to be confermed, likley to be a family game of rounders or cricket.
Tuesday 2nd Aug - Bob's music quiz, with music from the rock, right the way through, 'till contempary pop. (teams of 4)
Wednesday 3rd Aug - Football, (final arangements yet to be made.)
Thursday 4th Aug - Kids Its-a-Knockout (be prepared to get eggy, flowery and wet, teams of 6, under 14 years.)
Friday 5th Aug - Young Farmers Its-a-Knockout (final arangements yet to be made.)
Saturday 6th Aug - Gala day. Fancy dress, the Races, Huge Raffle and much more.
Most of the activities will begin at 6 (yet to be confermed), exept Gala day (time again yet to be confermed), but keep a look-out for posters in St. Buryan and the local area.
Please be aware that the Community House will be open every day for Gala Week for drinks and food should be avalable daily (yet to be confermed) at a small price.
The week is organised by the St. Buryan Gala Week Comittee.
