Location Panagudi, Tirunelveli District, Tamil Nadu, India.
History In 1870's the priests of the Catholic church, by the wast land in Panagudi. After some years, a chariot with bullocks carried a statue of St.Joseph through this way. The bulls were suddenly, stop in this place and not move there after. So the Christians this place rise church in this place for St.Joseph the husband of virgin Mary. The statue is kept in this church. In 1970's Fr. Sengol Mani built a new church with more facilities. The devotion to St.Joseph is growing day by day. The people from distance places are coming to worship St.Joseph. This parish Shrine is belongs to Tuticorin Diocese.
Importance This is the pilgrimage place for devotees of Saint Joseph.
