Introduction
In the summer of 2005 during the first hiatus of the hit television phenomenon that is LOST, abc hatched a discussion board independent of those at abc.com. buried in an easteregg of a (was it a) commercial, fans were funneled to a site reachable at the web address oceanicflight815.com.
Among a sprawling map of interconnected clips and a mysterious, 3-D radar screen visitors were offered a link marked 'forums' and from thence to black screen with the base options of 'security system' or 'black rock.'
The early days were slow at first, but with the release of the season one dvds, and the cryptic address flashed at their completion, more participants were funneled to this minimalist, bulletin board of lost theories and observations.
Over the summer a close crew hashed out quarter, half and fulllbaked theories about the then fledgling flagship show.
