From its name, it is reasonable to assume that Spiritual Education has as its aim, making people more spiritual. However, what does it mean to be "spiritual". As Robb reports many of the definitions given are not clear. The theory and practice of spiritual education faces a number of challneging questions which researchers and practitioners are striving to answer. # What do we mean by a spiritual person - what traits are we trying to develop through spiritual education? # What is the difference between spiritual education and religious education and moral education? # How do we actually do (or teach) spiritual education? # If we already have moral education, character education, personal and social education, citizenship education and values education do we need spiritual education? |
