Sook Spaces

Sook is a space rental agency which provides space as a service and allows anyone to rent high street shop space by the hour. It was founded by John Hoyle and has two co-founders Daniel Burnham and Simon Gallagher.
Sook installs a digitally enhanced physical fit-out into a space and combines this with an online shop design, preview and booking platform to enable easy access to renting the physical space.
History & Company progress
Sook was launched out of Zinc VC's Mission 2 and incorporated on March 28th 2019. It launched its first space on Norfolk Street in Cambridge on June 5th 2019. Sook’s co-founders Daniel Burnham and Simon Gallagher joined in September 2019.
In September 2019 Sook was recognised as the inaugural winner of Transport for London’sConnected Retail Award. Later in 2019 Sook was also shortlisted for a .
Sook’s second space was launched in partnership with Legal and General in January 2020. It was due to host a Clicks and Mortar campaign in partnership with Amazon and Enterprise Nation, an event which has been postponed due to COVID-19.
In March 2020 Sook was named as one of the top 50 global tech start-ups, in the inaugural Retail Week “Discovery 50” competition which showcased the top 50 global tech start-ups powering the new retail world.
In May 2020 Sook was accepted as part of Said Business School’s Liber Project, designed to assist high growth potential startups during Covid-19.
