Solarminite Productions

Solarminite Productions is a web-based Entertainment Company, committed to producing quality family friendly entertainment. It was created on September 23, 2010 by founding members Wesley Critchfield and Josh Momaney.
The name "Solarminite" comes from the name of a fictitious potentially Universe-ending detonation, in the B-Movie Classic "Plan 9 From Outer-Space" Directed by Edward D. Wood Jr.
History
;Shows
Specializing in Short Comedic Films and Vignettes, and film Riffs, began their series of projects with two Film Review Web series, "Obscurity Jones" in which an adventuring treasure hunter fights an evil band of miscreants in his quest to save the world, while reviewing classic B-Movies, and "The Movie Mechanic" in which a loveable mechanic starts off reviewing movies, and ends up in a time bending battle against a maniac bent on leaving the world with nothing but Bad Romantic Comedies and cheap made for Television knock-offs of Hollywood Block Busters.
;Vignettes
In November of 2011, Solarminite introduced it's first stand alone vignette, a parody of the opening scenes from the film classic "The Godfather": "The Godmario", in which a man makes a plea to a shadowy figure to right a wrong that has been done to his daughter.
;Web-series
Also in November 2011, Solarminite began a "Pre-show" to the upcoming series "Whippin' Britain" "Before "Whippin' Britain": The Rocker Dude and Retarded Ferret Show", in which the back story of how two friends, in a bid to become internet celebrities, formed a band. Ultimately The Band of "Rocker Dude and the Retarded Ferret" would fail and fall apart turning friends into enemies.
The yet-to-be-released series of "Whippin' Britain" will chronicle the Rocker Dude's attempt to form a new band known as "The Cretans", along with the new characters of Turd-muffin, the Bass Player And The Bint, the band's drummer.
;"Solarminite Riffs"
In October of 2011, Solarminite Productions created a branch of the company known as "Solarminite Riffs" in which they produced feature length "riffs" or comedic commentary tracks, in the style of Mystery Science Theater 3000.
The First riff Presented was for the Extended Version of Roland Emmerich's 1994 sci-fi hit "STARGATE"
Influences
The founders of Solarminite Productions were inspired by a long list of Comedic Greats and classic film makers, including Edward D. Wood Jr. Weird Al Yankovic, Mystery Science Theater 3000, Monty Python, A Bit of Fry and Laurie. Animanics. The Red Green Show, Jay Ward, Sid Ceasar, Abbot and Costello, Jerry Lewis, Stand Laural, Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy and Danny Kaye
