SmartSurface is a Malaysian based surface computing provider that developed the first commercially viable multitouch 'All Purpose Surface' that takes the form of an adjustable cafe-like table in south east Asia. Following this ideology, they conduct research on a multitude of surface variations to enable gesture based multi-point, multi-touch applications to run. SmartSurface is currently conducting research on touchless gestures based smart walls as well. SmartSurface also informally introduced the term 'smasurfing' that denoted the idea of using a multitouch surface for interacting using touch gestures. |
