Skeleton Key: The Graphic Novel

Skeleton Key: The Graphic Novel is the third graphic novel in the Alex Rider series, written by Antony Johnston and illustrated by sisters Kanako Damerum and Yuzuru Takasaki. It is based on the novel Skeleton Key, written by Anthony Horowitz, and was released on 7 September 2009 in the UK by Walker Books.
Plot
The plot is based around the book of the same name:
"Reluctant teenage superspy Alex Rider is useful to MI6 in ways an adult could never be. Now they need his help once again. But a routine reconnaissance mission at the Wimbledon Tennis Championships sets off a terrifying chain of events for Alex that sees him on the run from a murderous Chinese triad gang. Forced to hide out, Alex is sent to Cayo Esqueleto - Skeleton Key - an island near Cuba. Waiting for him there is General Alexei Sarov - a coldly insane Russian with explosive plans to rewrite history. Alex faces his most dangerous challenge yet. Alone, and equipped only with a handful of gadgets, Alex must outwit Sarov as the seconds tick away towards the end of the world..."
Differences from the novel
* In the novel, Alex meets his future best friend Sabina Pleasure at Wimbledon when they're both working as ballboys. In the graphic novel series, Alex is already friends with her, and runs into her in the audience. Sabina is at home for the rest of the tournament.
* In both the novel and the graphic novel, Alex surfs the Cribber wave in Cornwall. In the novel, Alex is attacked by a Big Circle member in the middle of his ride, falls off and nearly drowns. In the graphic novel, Alex doesn't get attacked and is never in any real danger (when he falls off his board he's near the shore).
