History So far 17 albums have been released and Itchy was the only permanent member of the band until his death. The best-known album is Hate is a 4-Letter Word with the title song of the same name , which was only released as Shock Therapy on Fundamental Records as vinyl in 1985 and contained a total of 7 songs. In 1991 this mini-album was re-released on Dossier Records in Berlin under the title Hate Is a 4-Letter Word and contained eight other tracks in addition to the original track list. Due to Itchy's imprisonment in 2000, all band activities were suspended. He was released in early June 2007. The band had already been reformed and a new release was planned. The album is titled The Moon & The Sun ; In addition to some live tracks and cover versions of various bands such as Devo, it also contains unreleased pieces from the period 1993 to 1996. On November 11, 2008, it was officially announced on the Shock Therapy website that Gregory "Itchy" McCormick died on November 5, 2008 at the age of 44. A week later, The Moon & The Sun was released. In the summer of 2016, some members decided to revive Shock Therapy as a "tribute band". Since then, they have been working intensively on a tour that is to begin in Germany in spring 2018.
