Shivom is a blockchain-powered multi-national healthcare firm based in London and India. It is building the world’s largest DNA data hub. It was included in the top 50 innovative companies across the world at Smart Health Conference 2018, Dubai. History Shivom was founded in 2017. Its co-founders are Gourish Singla, Henry Ines and Axel Schumacher. Shivom tries to leverage the latest advancements in genomics and technology to democratise genetic sequencing, and provide individuals with a platform that enables and automates health and wellness. By raising $35 million, it also became the world’s most well-funded genomics blockchain company. Vision Shivom envisions to provide data-owners, researchers and pharmaceutical companies with the ability to securely share, store and analyse DNA data quickly, efficiently and at any scale. Mission Shivom aims at making genome data sequencing for all a reality. Not only this, it ensures that the data sequenced is stored properly and its complete access is given to the person who is getting his genome sequenced. With this ownership of data, the company is giving the donors foolproof security while also enabling them to monetise it within a DNA data marketplace, thus eliminating third-party vendors and middlemen. The company aims at making the direct-to-consumer business more transparent, fair and beneficial for all users. David Cameron, former UK prime minister, had suggested the mission of Shivom must be shared with the global healthcare sector actively. Partnerships Shivom's partners include LifeBit, Nasdaq-listed GTG Labs, Singapore-based Ocean Protocol, Government of Andhra Pradesh (India), Cleveland Clinic-backed Family Care Path and Hong-Kong-based Singularity NET. SIC Global thought leaders like Taavi Roivas, former prime minister of Estonia, and Antanas Guoga, a Lithuanian representative at the European Parliament, are onboard Shivom Innovation Council (internal think tank). Ace sprinter Lion Martinez is also a member with SIC.
