Sheldon Goldfarb (born 1953) is a Canadian author and independent scholar. Goldfarb grew up in Montreal, later attending McGill University, where he worked for the McGill Daily student newspaper and received a Bachelors degree of arts in history. He lived in England, where he pursued his graduate work at the University of Manchester, later returning to Canada, where he worked briefly as a copyeditor in Toronto and received graduate degrees in English from the University of Manitoba and the University of British Columbia. especially the works of novelist William Makepeace Thackeray. He has worked at the English department of the University of British Columbia and in the archives of the UBC Alma Mater Society.
