Sheila Mikhail (born October 20, 1965) is a Mexican American lawyer and entrepreneur. She is the founding member of Life Sciences Law, the first law firm in the Research Triangle Area in North Carolina to focus exclusively on life sciences corporate law.. Since the establishment of her law firm in 2002, Mikhail has co-founded three biotech companies, including Asklepios BioPharmaceutical, Inc., a gene therapy company with technology for Duchene muscular dystrophy and hemophilia currently in clinical trials. Mikhail is also the CEO of NanoCor Therapeutics, which is in the process of developing a biological nanoparticle for the treatment of congestive heart failure.
Mikhail received her B.A. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, M.B.A from the University of Chicago with honors, and J.D. from Northwestern University.
