Shaylyn Kyente Gimby is a full-time Twitch.tv broadcaster and entertainer from Winnipeg, Manitoba. He often goes by Kyente, his real middle name. He has been featured in stage performances and independent films including the digital short Kaelah where he played the romantic lead, Bruce in which he was nominated for Best Performance at the 1st Break Film Festival. In 2015 he had a YouTube video go viral, where his brother pranked him by getting a professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player to defeat him, under the guise that it was his brother playing. The video racked up over 1.1 million views and was featured on many video game news sites such as Polygon and Kotaku. In 2016 he and his fiancée founded @TwitchWinnipeg, a local meet up to bring Twitch users together. The meet up has grown to over 100 people attending each event. Shaylyn has shared his knowledge of live-streaming across North America, and has been a featured guest at events such as TwitchCon 2016 in San Diego CA, PAX East 2017 in Boston MA, TwitchCon 2017 in Long Beach, CA, All Access Manitoba 2018, FanQuest 2018 and more.
