Shannon Whisnant

Born Shannon Allen Whisnant (sometimes referred to as "The Foot Man") (born January 2, 1974, Hickory, North Carolina)is a blue collar American guy, an equipment operator by trade. Grew up restoring classic cars, and farming. In his spare time he is the drummer in the local band "Gearth"

Early Life

Shannon Whisnant is the son of Carroll and Shirley Whisnant, a farmer in Hickory, North Carolina. He also is the brother of Gene Whisnant. Shannon attended high school at Fred T Foard .

Before finding the foot

Shannon married Lisa Sigmon July 25, 2005 and moved to Maiden, North Carolina where he resides with with his wife. Shannon also appeared on the Jerry Springer show titled Mistress Mayhem. The reason for the appearance Shannon was the muscle guy for his future father-in laws escort service.

After getting the foot in an auction

Shannon got an invitation to an auction at Maiden Mini plaza Warehouse in Maiden, North Carolina. He was awarded the auction on Sept.25 2007 when he went to see what he could buy. They got to this specific warehouse and done a table deal with some tools and a smoker, he wasn't really interested in the smoker just the tools but he had to take the smoker also. Well it was time to load up and take the stuff to his warehouse and the smoker was the last thing unloaded he noticed something in it at the auction but didn't have time to look. Well he got curious when he got to the warehouse, and decided to open it and see what it was to his surprise it was an amputated foot from below the knee down. Which upon investigation by the town of Maiden police it was discovered the foot belonged to John Wood of Atlanta.

Custody of the Foot

Shannon appeared on the Judge Mathis court show with his wife Lisa Whisnant and to settle custody of the foot between himself and John Wood. Shannon won the case and was awarded $5,000, but the foot was returned to John Wood.
