Shamel Patten

Shamel "ShamTrax" Patten is an American producer of hip hop, R&B and pop. He is a member of The Soundkillers production group which includes music producers REO, Phoenix, along with songwriter Dion Primo. He has worked with artists such as Jim Jones, Fabolous, Foxy Brown, Busta Rhymes, M.O.P, Melo-x, Jessie Boykins III and Bow Wow.
Career
Growing up in Brooklyn, New York to a family consisting of his mother, father, and sister, ShamTrax was encouraged to explore his artistic capabilities in the field of music. Having a DJ and music producer for a father, ShamTrax grew up in sound production as he credits his father with informing the scope of his musical knowledge. It was through the encouragement of his parents that he found his individual creative path in music production.
In September 2010, ShamTrax joined forces with the production team The Soundkillers (with members REO, Phoenix, and Dion Primo) adding to their growing influence in the music industry. His journey through the art of music and mastery of handcrafted mechanical vibration has positioned him as the producer to watch in Hip Hop and R&B breeding a sound unique to him.
