Shaheen bhatt

Shaheen Bhatt is an Indian actress, author, poet and screenplay writer.
Early life
Bhatt is the daughter of director Mahesh Bhatt and actress Soni Razdan. Film actresses Alia Bhatt and Pooja Bhatt are her sisters. She also has a step-brother Rahul Bhatt.
Born in a film professionals family, Bhatt appeared in her father's 1989 film as a baby. As a child she had a troubled childhood owing to the perturbed relationship between her parents. While her father wasnt around much, she did find him to be under the infuence of raging alcoholism. However he later gave up alcohol. As a child she was happy being the centre of attention, however she had sibling jealousy once her younger sister Alia was born. She had a normal school life until the age of 10 post which Shaheen started losing focus on her studies. Unable to concentrate she was drawn into hasty long introspective silences. As a side effect she found herself eating more and more due to which she fell sick. Bhatt was diagnosed with depression and related mental health problems at the age of 18 which she says she was suffering from her childhood since the age of 12.
Career
Despite being from a Bollywood family, she hasn't worked as much in the film industry. As a child actress Bhatt was featured in the movie Daddy in 1989. In 2012, she took up work in movies like Son of Sardaar as a writer and Raaz 3 as the assistant director. Later in 2018, she authored the book <nowiki/>'I have never been (Un) Happier based on her depression and mental health experiences as a child and teenager.
