In India many sexist practices are prevalent, which are against men. Some of them are fundamentally biased against men. Others are subtle discrimination, which are enforced by the state and supported by the society.
Women's reservation Women get 33% reservation in panchayats and municipal elections. They also get reservation and preferential treatments in education and jobs. There is a long time plan to extend this reservation to parliament and legislative assemblies.
Ladies seats and compartments Seats are reserved for females in buses, trains, metros and many other places. Entire railway compartments are reserved for females, where men are not allowed to enter.
Income and property tax Women pay far less income and property tax than men. For example in Delhi, men have to pay an 8% stamp duty for registration of property. Females get away by paying only 6%.
Crime and prosecution Female criminals are treated far more leniently than male criminals. Not a single death sentence has been awarded to a female, while many males have been sent to the gallows.
Men are routinely picked up for questioning at late hours of the night, and tortured in police custody. They are incriminated in false accusation of rape and murder. Females are never subjected to these kind of violent tortures.
Military service Men are almost always forced to serve their country. Women are never asked to do that.
Social security There are many benefits for widows, mothers, sisters, daughters. There are no such benefits for widowers, fathers, brothers, sons.
Property rights Women get share of both parental and matrimonial home. Men don't.
Lack of redressal mechanisms There are various forums to protect the interests of females like the women and child development ministry and the national commission for women. There are no such forums for men.
Draconian anti-men acts Acts like 498A, dowry prohibition, domestic violence prevention, sexual harassment are used as a tool by the state to harass men.
Hazardous Jobs Men work exclusively in hazardous and dangerous jobs like police, fire fighting, mining, border security.
Family laws The Hindu marriage act and other family laws are extremely biased against men regarding alimony, child support, and child custody. Men almost always have to pay maintenance and almost never get child custody.
Eligibility for senior citizenship To get senior citizen benefits, men have to be 65 years of age, while females can be as young as 60.
Single-sex educational institutions There are very few colleges exclusively for men, whereas there are many colleges exclusively for females. As a result, boys are getting much less opportunities to go for higher studies. Many subjects are taught exclusively in girls college, thereby severely restricting the choice of courses for boys.
Teachers Male teachers are not allowed in girls' school, while female teachers are encouraged in boys' schools. So, boys are left without strong male characters as their role models in life.
Media bias Both print media and television are extremely biased against men. They publicize all incidents related to women's issue, but never publicize any men's issues.
Bias against boys For certain exemptions, boys get them till a lower age than girls, e.g. tickets in trains, buses. Boys are treated as juvenile till the age of 16, while girls are treated juvenile till 18. The age for marriage of boys is 21, while for girls it is 18.
Like me other mens also now seen the the cruelty of women and the mastery of women in
taking the revenge and made the life of innocent men or male person miserable by using the
cruel law which is made within past 10 years forcebly by the women socitey at the names of
women emporwerment. Which only disempower the men completely and take to the state that he
commits sucide because he knows that there is no one to hear his problem and not getting the
right justice at the name of dowry, domestic and other related law which is mostly misuses by
the women. Becuase of this harrasement mens suffer alot his in always mentally imbalance
state, his job lost and most of the time he ends up his life due to women and policy made by
the government. Why all the womens society not seeing all the probelm facing by the men and its family
member in which he lives. Why they continue to put their unnecessary demand and forcing the
government and law makers to make more cruel law for deterioating the men and ruined his
life completely when she is not doing anything good for men and society why they want such
things from it. This made all the men wheather to get marry in future or not becuase once
they get married and having any kind of relationship with women. women takes the advantage
by using the law and uses against the men which is seen every where. So I request to all the society and Ngo group and all men to come forward to done something
for the protection of mens life socially econimally sexually and in the various stages of
life of men.And also safed our coming generation from facing this kind of problem which all
of men are facing it. I said thanks to all who already working for this matter and special thanks to who get the
pain in listening the men related issues and problem.

It is very true. In India so many such sexist practices (against men) are prevalent and they are also increasing owing mainly to divisive and sadistic government policies.
It is high time people stand up for pro-people policies and oppose such divisive policies.

Dear God, I'd been told there were people suffering massive illusions on this front but I didn't believe it until now.
I agree with pro-people policies. As do I that women should be allowed to serve in the army, police etc as front liners. But whose stopping them? Men. Every step thats taken by women towards equalizing the playing field, the work field, the educational sector are blocked by men. No. Not completely fair, there are women who also believe in an ancient system where women do nothing but serve the 'superior gender' because they've been told that repetitively by men, religion, government etc.
Here's where we differ- on issues like the dowry act, single sex institutions, ladies seats and compartments etc. They're purely reactionary. If the patriarchal system had made it possible for women to advance in the first place, you wouldn't have any of these systems.
If men could learn to respect a woman as an equal and not something he must 'have' or in most brutally real cases 'molest', women wouldn't need special compartments to protect them from the attention of lecherous old men and hormone driven college boys.
Now for the media bit... really. When almost every thing in the world is male controlled you resent the media reporting the rape of an college girl? Or the fact a useless man threw acid on his wifes face? Or that there are finally women doing successfully in different fields? Aren't murders reported? Don't men who have achieved something get coverage? Even male issues like stress due to over work, male pattern balding etc., get covered!
The fact is this- your so called 'sexist' practices against men aren't the reality. So don't make them out to be. How many cases are there of women baeting men up?
These areas that you insist women are taking revenge of us in or getting benefits from exist because for about a thousand five hundred years, probably longer, they had nothing. Every society until the ones of the mid 1900's has centered on the glory of the male race, the wonder of masculinity and the 'obvious' submission of women to it. So give me a break. If you're angry because a few women get together and demand equality, you need to re-evaluate a lot of things. Simple things. For example how easily do you or I navigate through the city? Do we need to worry about being judged for wearing western clothes? Do people look down at us if we aren't married by 24 or 27? Do we face sexual harassment at work? If we were barren, what are the chances our wives will leave us? Are we considered 'fast' because we have female friends? If we dress a particular way-say wearing shorts- do women try yo harass us? Can we leave our homes when its dark without fear of getting raped?
Answer those questions and then come crying about womens revenge and sexism against men.

Totally agree to Arjun Nair. Women are only protected because men are overly abusive and control the society. If women are given equal chances in so many countries, these laws wont be necessary. In my life i have never heard of a woman sexually abusing a man, and so many cases happen the other way. Laws like this is only a start to plant the idea of equality in peoples mind. Only after that is done can equality finally be achieved while people don't respect women out of forced law, but from their hearts truly.
