Seoul Sisters

The Seoul Sisters is a 2011 film that explains the plight of North Korean refugees as they escape via a 6,000-mile 'underground railroad from Northern China to Bangkok, Thailand and the unique situation on the Korean Peninsula.
Production of The Seoul Sisters was announced on December 1, 2010 and the film is set to be finished by August 31, 2011. On the announcement of the film, it is stated that the filmmakers "plan to visit North Korea to investigate this crisis in more detail." It is unknown how the filmmakers plan on visiting the reclusive nation, as journalist visas are not available for such documentaries.
The film will be produced, directed and hosted by Max Jones, a key player in the Crisis on the Korean Peninsula, having helped to secure the release of American journalists Laura Ling and Euna Lee in 2009. The film will be co-directed by Lillian Wu and edited by Manic Media.
Filming began January 1, 2011.

Tour through Asia
Max Jones & the documentary's production crew visited China and South Korea in March 2011, where they filmed parts of the documentary and did a one-week media tour in South Korea. Appearances were made in the Chosun Ilbo, Korea Herald, JoongAng Ilbo and on Arirang TV & Arirang Radio.
