The Senior Master Sgt. Gerald J. Stryzak Award is the annual award that honors SMSgt Stryzak, an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) technician who died in an aircraft crash in Egypt in 1980 while participating in a tactical rapid response exercise. The award recognizes the EOD Flight (winner and runner-up) that distinguished itself as the year's top performer through sustained superior mission support and outstanding achievement.
