Seni Jatuh

Seni Jatuh is one of the martial arts from Kelantan, Malaysia. It becomes unique as can be seen and studied only in these states. It is very famous in the state of Kelantan. This style combines dance movements and martial arts.
Etymology
The word Seni Jatuh derives from the Malay word. Seni means art while Jatuh means drop or fall.
Technique
Early learning, trainees will be taught how to dance well. When the dance was neat and beautiful, trainees were taught how to bertapang (four sites). It is the way dance as he walked in 4 corners. Once the trainee can dance properly, trainees will be taught how to fight (bergomol). This martial arts fighting purpose is to drop or throw down their opponents. Techniques such as punches and kicks are strictly prohibited. It only uses their intelligence to drop or throw down their opponents.
Seni Jatuh is usually taught in the barn near the teachers home. Study period is generally 2-3 months, but if the trainees themselves want to continue to add knowledge can come to see the teacher to advance learn this martial art. This martial art is also contested in Kelantan. Usually it is held together Tomoi competition. It will fight on the same ring used by petomoi. It also presented at many weddings and also in the VIP welcoming ceremony in Kelantan. While performing at the wedding ceremony, it seems quite mischievous and funny as intended to entertain guests.
