Secure image encryption technique for wireless network

Security of transmission of text, multimedia and images over internet is a very important issue. For example military image databases,video conferences must be carried in a secure manner for a countries security. There are a lot of techniques for securing transmission over wireless network. One of them is Block based Encryption Technique. Block Based Encryption for Image Transmission Encryption is widely used to achieve data security in transmission of data over wireless networks. In this technique a block based transformation is used for high level security of image(data). Using this technique, the image is divided into two parts and a key is generated. It uses bit shifting method for encryption. These encrypted images are then concatenated to form a one single image which is then sent through wireless media over wireless network. On receiver side a similar technique is used which divides the encrypted image in two parts and using the symmetric key these two parts are used to generate the original image. See Also
