Scouthut Cricket

Scouthut Cricket is a type of cricket which involves timing and power but the ability to keep the ball down. The game is played with a tennis ball, softball cricket bat and between 2-8 players. The rules of the game are: Boundaries of 6 metres leg side boundry, 5 metres straight boundry and 15 metres offside boundry, bowlers have 6 ball overs, and batsman have to retire at 50. You score in the normal cricket way with 6s, 4s and running between wickets.
In this form of cricket you can get out in alot of ways like: bowled, caught, lbw, stumped, hitting balls over the fence and causing damage to objects or living creatures. The game was invented on the Isle of Wight by a group of youngsters. These 'youngsters' consist of original players Matt Webb, Ellis Ridett, Jake Jackman, that Connor Guy and Dan Hayward. Some later players are as follows: Dan Mcnamara, Noah Lacey, Darren Wood. New members are on the rise, so if you like cricket, come and give it a try.
