Scott Mooney

Scott Mooney (born 23 November 1988 in Birmingham) is an English semi-professional footballer who is a Striker for Hyde United in the Blue Square North.
Club Career
Ashfordby and Holwell Sports
He started his senior carear aged just 15 at Ashfordby Amateurs F.C. in 2004.He was noticed by Holwell Sports in 2007. After joining Holwell Sports he spent two seasons there making 58 appearences scoring 39 goals. Scott ended up as the clubs top goalscorer in both seasons he was playing for them. In July 2009 he was on the verge of signing for Stamford Town F.C.,when Hyde United came along with a better offer. Scott went on trial with Hyde. He said: "I had got nothing to lose so I had a couple of training sessions with them and then played a trial game.
Hyde United
Eventualy on 22nd July 2009 Scott completed his sensational move to Hyde in the Blue Square North climbing 4 levels in non league football.Early in the 2009-2010 season he was used alot as a sub, he scored his first goal in a Hyde Shirt on the 9th September 2009 in a 1-1 draw with Gloucester City. As the season progressed Hyde Manager Neil Tolson started him more often, this earned Scott the position as Fan Faverote. Going into 2010 Mooney was Hyde's joint top scorer.
