Scott Lucky

Scott Ryan Lucky (born August 5, 1984) is an American soccer player from Orangevale, CA.

As a youth, he played club soccer for the Dallas Texans '85 for Marcio Leite and the San Juan Storm (Sacramento, CA).

After graduating from Bella Vista High School in Fair Oaks, CA, Lucky attended Cosumnes River College, a junior college in Sacramento, CA (CRC). While at CRC, he and the team earned numerous honors. CRC was the 2003 State Finalist and achieved a final national ranking of #3, and a State Ranking of #2 after losing the State Championship in penalty kicks to Irvine Valley College. In 2007, Lucky transferred to California State University - Chico (NCAA Division II). He played for one season at Chico State before transferring to Tusculum College (NCAA Division II) in Greeneville, Tennessee to finish his final two seasons.

At Cosumnes River College, Scott Lucky led the team in goals (13) and points (29). He was named to the All-Conference Second Team as well as Conference Attacking Player of the Year - Runner up. For California State University - Chico, Lucky started and played in all 19 games. He is currently playing at Tusculum College.

During his college years, Lucky also played with the Sacramento Knights (2004-2007) for coach Ron Preble in the National Premier Soccer League and with the Southern California Seahorses (2008) for Coach Todd Elkins of the USL Premier Development League. For the Sacramento Knights, Lucky earned the most improved player award in 2004 and earned a starting role in midfield his last three years with the club. He was a member of the NPSL National Championship winning side in 2006 and in 2007, he earned a NPSL National All-Star Selection. He led the team in assists in his only season in 2008 for the Southern California Seahorses. He is currently playing at the highest level of amateur soccer in the United States, while finishing his degree before pursuing a professional career abroad.

His primary position has been central midfielder. He also plays outside midfielder and defender.
