Scarlett Eden Keeling (17 June 199217 February 2008) was a British teenager who was found raped and murdered at Anjuna Beach, Goa, India while spending her holidays. The incident brought international attention to Goa for safety of tourists. Her body was brought to Devon and was buried on 15 June 2012, four years after her death. Life She was born to British-Irish mother Fiona MacKeown and Libyan-born concrete contractor Richard Keeling who split up at time of her birth. She had eight siblings. While her family went for traveling, the 15 year old girl was left alone with a 25 year old tourist guide named Julio Lobo. Murder Fiona MacKeown returned to UK to identify her daughter's body. Fiona is still waiting for justice for her daughter. In film 2011 film Anjunaa Beach is based on the case. |
