Saw VI is the sixth installment to the Saw film series. It is scheduled to be released on October 30th, 2009, following the act of releasing a Saw film every year on the Friday before Halloween. The film will not be directed by David Hackl, the director of Saw V, but by Kevin Greutert, who has edited all of the Saw films to date. Saw VI will be distributed by Lions Gate.
Development
On June 22, 2007, producer Oren Koules confirmed that the sixth installment was being written, with Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton, the writers of Saw IV and Saw V, later being confirmed as the writers of the film.
Tobin Bell has stated that he has signed on for a total of five sequels, while Costas Mandylor has also signed up for the next installment in the horror franchise.
The winner of the VH1 reality show Scream Queens will win a role in the film. |
