Sanibel-Captiva Chamber of Commerce

The Sanibel & Captiva Islands Chamber of Commerce is an organization devoted to the advocacy of businesses on Sanibel Island and Captiva Island, located off the southwest coast of Florida.
The Chamber also operates the official visitor's center of Sanibel Island and Captiva Island. The visitor's center features information on accommodations, restaurants, beaches, nature, and things to do.
History
In 1962, island pioneers gathered on the east end of Sanibel and formed the Sanibel & Captiva Business Association, which eventually evolved into the Chamber of Commerce.
In 1964, a building for the Chamber was built just over the newly constructed Sanibel Causeway, which replaced the Sanibel ferry in 1963.
In 2011 the Chamber Visitor Center was rededicated as the Francis P. Bailey, Jr. Visitor Center in recognition of one of the original island pioneers that helped establish the business association and the Chamber.
