Sangeeth Varghese is a leadership expert, who studied at the London School of Economics. Varghese is the founder of LeadCap, a movement with a vision to build India as a nation of leaders. Varghese's main work has been his theory that leaders are not born or made, but are the ones who are boldly willing to decide when faced with a defining moment. People who have initiated and propagated changes are seldom there because of a birthright or a pedigree; hence it is possible to democratize the very concept of leadership itself. Varghese mentors several CEOs and start-up organisations. He is a popular speaker at leadership conferences and management institutes, especially the IIMs and IITs. Varghese writes a fortnightly column 'Sangeeth Varghese On Leadership' for the Businessworld, India's largest business magazine. He authored the book ‘Decide to Lead - Eight decisions that can make you a leader’ with a foreword from John Kotter, the world's foremost authority on leadership from the Harvard Business School. Several of his papers were published in international journals and have been mentioned in media including the BBC, NDTV and Bloomberg TV.
